Lalgola College is situated in one remote corner of West Bengal , its students belonging mostly to the minority community. Established in 2005, the college began in 2006 with the students of the session of 2006-2007. Its NSS Unit had its inception in 2012 under Dr. Sujata Bagchi Banerjee, who was the co-ordinator. In the session of 2014-15, we received the First-Prize in the whole District of Murshidabad for our NSS Activities. Prof. Asim Kumar Mandal was made co-ordinator in the session 2015-16, taking a good role in the NAAC Peer Team Visit in September 2016. Our remarkability is that our college regularly organises campaigns for awareness, concerning AIDS, Thalassaemia, various environmental issues, concerning female literacy and educational empowerment, anti-dowry campaigns etc, our NSS unit has a separate website that would give a detailed description of the activities to be run throughout the year. Actively supported by Sri Somnath Chakraborti, Teacher-in-Charge of Lalgola College Sri, Asim Kumar Mandal with his NSS team is running the unit successfully.
